# Open Compute Project: Design for an open hardware community.

> How #10 built and ran opencompute.org for twelve years, and now designs the Open Compute Project's section headers, icons and Global Summit keynote decks.

The Open Compute Project is the foundation behind open data center hardware, started by Facebook. We built and ran opencompute.org for twelve years. Now we design for it: section headers and icons for the new site, and keynote decks for its Global Summit.

- Industry: Open source
- Platform: WordPress
- What we do: Design, keynote decks
- Site: https://opencompute.org

## Where it started

Hundreds of member companies, dozens of projects, one website. It has to stay easy to find your way around, and still look like one organization, as many teams add to it.

## What we did

1. **Twelve years of opencompute.org.** We built the previous site and ran it, along with the mailing lists and servers behind it.
2. **A color for every section.** Six section headers for the new site, each with a photo, its own color on the menu and a matching accent, so visitors always know where they are.
3. **Icons that mean one thing.** Each icon stands for one idea and is used only for that, so it reads the same way on every page.
4. **Keynote decks.** We polished the keynote decks for the 2026 Global Summit, on the foundation's own templates, through several rounds with their team.

## Six sections, six colors.

Sections: Community, Membership, Marketplace, Events, Contributions, About.

## Where it stands

- **12** years running the previous site
- **6** section headers for the new one
- **2** Global Summit keynotes
